European Barrels

The small size barrels will age 5 to 10 times faster then your standard 200 liters barrel.

 

When storing your barrel between uses, always keep the barrel filled with a sterilized water solution. This will keep the barrel from drying out and keep bacteria from growing in the barrel. 1/2 years in a full size barrel.

 

NOTE: Understand that fluctuations in temperature and relative humidity will cause the barrel to take on or lose moisture and the timber will expand or shrink accordingly. As a result, your barrel may show small gaps or have loosened hoops at arrival. Don’t worry, that’s all to be expected and will disappear after curing.
